Dr. Kathyrn Faulker

Dr. Kathryn Faulkner is a British Catholic with a doctorate in medieval history from the University of London. She is the mother of three daughters, aged 11, 8 and 7 months, who have always been educated at home. She first discovered Charlotte Mason several years ago and has gradually incorporated more and more of her ideas into their education. She also has a strong interest in children's literature in general, and historical writing for children in particular. In addition to working on Mater Amabilis she is working on a history of Catholicism in England for children. She lives in Bedfordshire, England and is married to Michael, who works in financial services.

Michele Quigley

Michele and her husband Tim have been home educating their ten children (ranging in age from newborn to 21 yrs. old) for the past twelve years.  She has been interested in the teachings and methods of Charlotte Mason since early on in her home educating adventure and was one of the founding members of the Catholic CMason (now Real Learning) e-mail forum. She currently hosts a home education e-mail forum at Family-Centered Learning.  In October of 2003 she travelled to Ambleside, England to research Charlotte Mason before beginning work on Mater Amabilis.

Kathryn and Michele  wish to acknowledge and sincerely thank the members of the Mater Amabilis Planning Committee without whose wisdom,
advice and practical help this ongoing project would not be possible.
